Report From Kenny F. Duran: Business Agent July/August 2010
We have entered into a new Collective Bargaining Agreement that runs from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2014.
I need to “Thank” my stewards and alternates for the great job they did during negotiations and continue to do on a daily basis.

OMI: (OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT INTERNATIONAL, INC. )
I would like to welcome new stewards; Mike Montano and Aaron Powell, alternate stewards; Andy Hall, Pat Gallegos, and T.J. Doring. We have reached a tentative agreement with OMI and are in the process of sending out ballots to the members to vote. We will be meeting to go over the tentative agreement and I will be posting dates and time of these meetings.
October Report From Mike Butler: Business Agent An informal meeting was held at the Union Hall on July 15th with OMI’s Management team and Principal Officer, Walter R. Maestas. Discussed were upcoming contract negotiations with the City of Rio Rancho and Teamster members currently under the C.B.A.. At that time nothing conclusive was agreed to as far as options available for both sides. If anything is reduced to writing by the company as far as negotiations it will be presented to the rank and file for approval. With that being said, if you have any proposals for the language of the current C.B.A. please, reduce it to writing and present it to either Robert Apodaca or Andy Hall. I will keep you updated on anything that may be coming forward.

Continuing to try to resolve some lingering dues issues, hopefully these will be resolved by the next newsletter. Robert Apodoca looking for input from rank and file for proposals and committee members before next years expiration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
