CCDC Officers Now Teamsters

The Curry County Detention Center Officers in Clovis New Mexico have overwhelmingly elected to be represented by Teamsters Local 492. On October 1, 2013 the CCDC officers sent a loud message to Curry County Manager by a 24-1 vote to have Teamsters Local 492 represent the guards at the Clovis facility.

This organizing campaign took 10 months; the guards were seriously concerned for their safety and working conditions. Up next will be negotiations to get them a great Teamster contract.

Congratulations to Local 492’s newest members and to everyone that helped with this campaign.

2026 Teamsters Scholarship

The Teamsters Scholarship Fund applications are now available at Teamster.org/scholarships. In order to expedite the awarding of scholarships, applications will be accepted through April 1, 2026.

ABF Pension Increase 2025

ABF Pension Increase 2025 9/24/2025 - This notice is to inform you of the contractual pension contribution increase that takes effect August l, 2025, through July 31, 2026, under the ABF NMFA agreement. The contribution rate will increase by $0.80 per hour, with the entire amount applied to your pension.

9/11/2025 - The strike against Creamland Dairy has ended after 1 week.
