Attention Teamsters with Southwest Multi-craft:

5/27/2025 -This message is for all of those that participate in the Safety Incentive through Southwest Multi-craft (Southwest Service Admin) insurance program.

REMINDER!!!!

Teamsters Local 492 will be hosting two (2) CPR /AED/First Aide classes. The first class will be held on Saturday, June 07, 2025, at Homewood Suites by Hilton conference room located at 10 Buffalo Thunder Trail, Santa Fe NM 87506 (directly behind Buffalo Thunder Casino). The second class will be held on Sunday, June 08, 2025, at Teamsters Local 492 Hall, located at 4269 Balloon Park Rd. NE Albuquerque NM 87109. Both classes will begin at 7:00 am each day. These classes will qualify as an 8-hour skilled upgrade.

Registrations are currently being accepted. Please contact Monique Montoya at 505-344-1925 ext. 12, if you would like to register. Registrations will be on a first come/first served basis and are limited.

If you are still needing an 8-hour skills upgrade certification, it is highly recommended that you sign up for this class, as this will be the last 8-hour skills upgrade class provided for the 2024-2025 incentive year!!!

Reminder: To qualify for the safety incentive through Southwest Multi-craft (SWMC), you will need to have taken an OSHA 10 course in the last THREE (3) years, a GHS/Haz-Com 3-hour course this year, AND an 8-hour Skills Upgrade class each year. The SWMC deadline to take these classes for this year is August 31, 2025.

SYSCO NM TEAMSTERS RATIFY CONTRACT

SYSCO NM TEAMSTERS RATIFY CONTRACT 4/22/2025 - Sysco members have ratified a new contract with 85% voting yes. The four-year agreement covers warehouse and drivers. The new agreement includes the highest wage increase and pension contributions Sysco has ever given in New Mexico, including Southwest multi-craft health insurance.

ABF Profit Sharing To Be Paid Feb 19, 2025

2/3/2025 - On Friday, ABF announced that it achieved a 91.2% operating ratio for 2024. As a result, the profit-sharing provisions of the 2023-28 ABF NMFA have been triggered. Specifically, qualified members (generally those employees who were on the seniority list from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024) will receive a bonus of 1% of their 2024 earnings.
